Tom Shea

It started out roughly 45 years ago when I was adopted at the age of 13. Placed in a foster home at 8 years old it had been a tough start to life. After years of abuse and neglect I finally had stability and the love to grow up strong. It was at this time that I thought it was a good story and one that needed to be told. The idea was always to honor Mom. She saved my life. My Dad too, and of course the Shea family, but it all started with Bettie Jane! If not for her love and commitment to saving kids I would not be here today.

The years flew by as I added to the story. I was always in search of how to honor Mom. A few years ago, I found it. Get Bettie Jane into the New Jersey Hall Of Fame! We submitted the nomination on April 2, 2020. It would have been her 83rd birthday. The decision will not be made until 2021. Stay tuned!
